Vision & Mission

Vision

Our vision is to have a leading program producing creative minds to build better future. A future focused on a learning program that meets the needs of a rapidly evolving world. This program engages in skills and information to enable the students to meet these challenges of the labor market in a large and growing manner locally and internationally.

Mission

The mission of the program is to educate the students in the design, analysis, and application of mechanical power systems, emphasizing innovation, sustainable development, and professional ethics to serve societal needs. This involves providing quality education with modern technology, fostering research and entrepreneurship, and producing qualified graduates ready to contribute to local and global engineering challenges in different areas of mechanical power engineering.

Program Objectives

The goals include graduating competent engineers for the workforce, fostering applied scientific research to solve real-world problems, and providing expert consultation services to industry and society, all while promoting innovation, sustainability, and continuous quality improvement in both education and research. The program at Al Salam University aims to:

  1. 01

Prepare engineers who are skilled in designing, operating, and maintaining mechanical power systems like power plants, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems (Market-Ready Graduates).

  2. 02

Develop graduates who are capable of critical thinking, making decisions, dealing with crises, and offering innovative solutions within the field of Mechanical Power Engineering (Problem-Solving & Innovation).

  3. 03

Provide a strong foundation in the theories and practices of mechanical power engineering, focusing on the generation, conversion, transmission, and utilization of mechanical and thermal energy (specialized knowledge).

  4. 04

Focus on conducting applied research to find innovative solutions to contemporary problems in society, industry, and the environment, with a particular emphasis on sustainable development (applied research).

  5. 05

Drive research in areas such as renewable energy sources and efficient energy utilization to minimize waste and promote environmental sustainability (sustainable technologies).
