Vision & Mission

Vision

The vision is to achieve leadership and innovation locally and globally in Biomedical Engineering with raising the level of healthcare by highly qualifying pioneer engineers in the field of biomedical engineering that meet the labor market requirements.

Mission

The mission is to gradulate outstanding engineering and professionals in the fields of biomedical engineering, enabling them to be competitive at both the local and regional levels in practical applications and scientific research, and to serve as role models in societal development and human resource enhancement.

Program Objectives

يسعى برنامج الهندسة الطبية الحيوية إلى:

  1. 01

apply knowledge of the physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering fundamentals to the solution of biomedical engineering problems.

  2. 02

equip students with the indispensable knowledge required to comprehend mathematical and scientific concepts and theories related to BME speciality.

  3. 03

prepare students to use new technologies/systems for the development of medical devices and various applications within biomedical and clinical engineering.

  4. 04

design components, devices, and systems to meet specific needs in biomedical engineering.

  5. 05

quip students with the required knowledge/skills to implement artificial intelligence in the design of computer-aided diagnosis systems to support the clinical practice.

  6. 06

provide students with skills across multiple areas, including Medical Imaging & Image Computing (devices, image processing/AI), Medical Devices, Embedded Systems, and Clinical Engineering (maintenance, safety, compliance).

  7. 07

identify and define problems in biomedical engineering, and to generate and evaluate solutions to those problems.

  8. 08

encourage students to create innovative systems and solutions for solving healthcare problems and challenges faced by state agencies, hospitals, and related institutions.

  9. 09

understand the professional and ethical responsibilities incumbent upon the biomedical engineer.

  10. 10

foster students' skills in communication and presentation.

  11. 11

equip the students with the understanding of the "thinker" alongside the practical experience of the "doer".

  12. 12

develop a graduate who is fully knowledgeable about international standards and specifications in the domain of biomedical engineering.
