The Faculty of Pharmacy Al-Salam University will be leader in pharmacy education with the aim of creating competent pharmacy professionals to positively impact healthcare of the local and regional societies.

Mission

The mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy Al-Salam University is to create scientifically and practically qualified, ethically committed pharmacists to deal with the challenges and competitive professional tasks in different areas of pharmacy practice, through:

• Providing conductive academic environment of higher standard that encourages interactive learning, builds research abilities and provides opportunities for active professional network.
• Maintaining quality education through competent faculty members, skilled support staff and state-of-the art infrastructure.
• Inculcating the values and commitment towards better community healthcare.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO's)

• 1- To graduate pharmacists with strong fundamental concepts and high technical competence in recent pharmaceutical sciences and technology, who shall be able to use these tools in different pharmaceutical fields.
• 2- To provide students with a strong and well-defined concept in the various fields of pharmaceutical sciences according to the requirements of pharmaceutical fields of work such as hospitals, community pharmacies and drug industries.
• 3- To develop a sense of teamwork and awareness amongst students towards the importance of interdisciplinary approach for developing competence in solving complicated problems in the area of pharmaceutical sciences.
• 4- To promote the development of trained human resource in pharmaceutical sciences for dissemination of quality education with highly professional and ethical attitude, strong communication skills and effective skills to work in a team with a multidisciplinary approach.
• 5- To generate potential knowledge pools with interpersonal and collaborative skills to identify, assess and formulate problems and execute the solution in closely related pharmaceutical industries.
• 6- To train the students to contribute towards health care system and counseling for prophylaxis and prevention of diseases.
• 7- To encourage the students to participate in lifelong learning process for a highly productive career and to relate the concepts of pharmaceutical sciences towards serving community issues.
