The Role Liaison & Oversight
The Program Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit and the academic program. In collaboration with the Quality Assurance Team, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the following:
Duties Core Responsibilities
Providing academic oversight of the program.
Developing the program's core study plan in coordination with the faculty administration and academic staff.
Establishing mechanisms to monitor the educational process, examinations, and student activities throughout the program.
Coordinating with Heads of Academic Departments to assign teaching staff for program courses prior to the beginning of each semester.
Receiving and reviewing students' requests for academic or examination excuses and submitting them to the Executive Committee for consideration.
Assessing special cases requesting deferred payment of tuition fees and presenting recommendations following appropriate review.
Receiving and addressing students' complaints while working to resolve academic issues and remove obstacles affecting their studies.
Coordinating with Heads of Academic Departments to determine the courses offered during the Summer Semester.
Coordinating with the Examinations and Assessment Office (Control) and the Faculty administration to organize the Board of Examiners meeting and facilitate the approval of examination results by the Faculty Council.
Following presentation to the regular Faculty Council meeting, submitting an annual report to the Dean of the Faculty covering academic, educational, administrative, and financial matters related to the program, in preparation for its review by the Faculty Council.
