In line with its commitment to community engagement and supporting global sustainability trends, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr Abdel Fattah Sadakah, President of the University; Prof. Dr Mokhtar Mabrouk, Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and Prof. Dr Mohamed Shehab, Dean of Student Affairs, the Faculty of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the EcoSpark student initiative, organized a workshop titled:

“Sustainable Pharmacy: A Strategic Approach to Integrating Sustainability into Education, Research, and Practice.”

The workshop was delivered by Dr Ragaa Magdy, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Ahram Canadian University. She highlighted sustainability as a key pillar in advancing pharmaceutical education and professional practice, focusing on the following:

Integrating sustainability principles into pharmacy education, research, and practice.

Improving resource efficiency within the pharmaceutical system.

Reducing pharmaceutical waste and minimizing its environmental impact.

Promoting more responsible and informed healthcare decision-making.

Aligning with the latest global trends in sustainability.

On the sidelines of the workshop, the EcoSpark initiative, under the supervision of Dr Eman Menaa, the faculty advisor, organized an interactive activity titled “The Eco Corner”. The activity aimed to raise awareness about sustainability, healthy nutrition, and eco-friendly practices through hands-on and engaging activities, reflecting the role of pharmacy students in community service.

These initiatives reinforce Alsalam University’s ongoing commitment to preparing qualified pharmacy graduates capable of leading the future of healthcare with responsibility toward both society and the environment.

جامعة السلام تتبنى مفاهيم الاستدامة في التعليم الصيدلي لتعزيز المسؤولية البيئية والمجتمعية.

في إطار التزام الجامعة بدورها المجتمعي في دعم التوجهات العالمية الحديثة، وتحت رعاية الأستاذ الدكتور/ عبدالفتاح صدقة — رئيس الجامعة، والأستاذ الدكتور/ مختار مبروك — نائب رئيس الجامعة وعميد كلية الصيدلة، والأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد شهاب — عميد شؤون الطلاب؛

نظّمت كلية الصيدلة بالتعاون مع أسرة EcoSpark الطلابية ورشة عمل بعنوان:

“الصيدلة المستدامة: نهج استراتيجي لدمج الاستدامة في البحث والتعليم والممارسة”

قدّمت الورشة الدكتورة/ رجاء مجدي — الأستاذ المساعد بكلية الصيدلة بجامعة الأهرام الكندية، والتي تناولت خلال الورشة مفهوم الاستدامة كأحد المحاور الجوهرية لتطوير التعليم الصيدلي والممارسة المهنية، مع التركيز على:

– دمج مبادئ الاستدامة في التعليم الصيدلي والبحث العلمي والممارسة المهنية.

– رفع كفاءة استخدام الموارد داخل المنظومة الصيدلية.

– تقليل المخلفات الدوائية والحد من تأثيرها البيئي.

– تعزيز اتخاذ قرارات صحية أكثر مسؤولية ووعيًا.

– مواكبة الاتجاهات العالمية الحديثة في مجال الاستدامة.

وعلى هامش الورشة، نظّمت أسرة EcoSpark تحت إشراف الدكتورة/ إيمان مناع — رائد الأسرة، فعالية مميّزة بعنوان “The Eco Corner”، هدفت إلى نشر الوعي بمفاهيم الاستدامة بالتغذية الصحية والممارسات الصديقة للبيئة من خلال أنشطة تطبيقية تفاعلية تعكس دور طلاب الصيدلة في خدمة المجتمع.

تأتي هذه الفعاليات تأكيدًا على سعي جامعة السلام المستمر لتأهيل كوادر صيدلية قادرة على قيادة مستقبل الرعاية الصحية بوعي ومسؤولية تجاه البيئة والمجتمع.
