In response to this question, the 2nd Scientific Day of the Faculty of Physical Therapy was held at Alsalam University under the theme:

“Strategic Integration of Robotic Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy Education and Practice.”

The scientific meeting served as a platform for dialogue on the future of physical therapy, exploring how modern technologies can become an integral part of the recovery journey and the restoration of human mobility, with the participation of a distinguished group of deans, vice deans, and faculty members from various universities.

Under the patronage of

Prof. Dr Abdel Fattah Sadakah – President of the University –

Prof. Dr Mokhtar Mabrouk – Vice President of the University –,

with the supervision and execution of both Prof. Dr Ahmed El-Arian – Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy – and Prof. Dr Elsadat Saad – Vice Dean of the Faculty –.

Throughout the day, the scientific sessions highlighted key advanced topics in robotic rehabilitation. Discussions focused on integrating robotic technologies into daily clinical practice in physical therapy and their role in enhancing treatment plans and improving patient outcomes. The program also addressed robotic applications in pediatric rehabilitation and neurological recovery as rapidly evolving fields that are reshaping modern therapeutic approaches.

In addition, the sessions explored the concept of the robotic approach as an advanced pathway to enhance neuroplasticity, offering new perspectives in managing complex rehabilitation cases in line with global developments in the field.

The event also extended beyond theory into practice, featuring live demonstrations of the latest robotic rehabilitation technologies in collaboration with BTL, allowing participants to observe how advanced tools are translated into real clinical practice within rehabilitation settings.

The day concluded with rich scientific discussions that reflected Alsalam University’s commitment to advancing academic knowledge, strengthening the integration between theory and practice, and keeping pace with global progress in healthcare and rehabilitation sciences.

من العلاج التقليدي إلى التأهيل الروبوتي… كيف تعيد التكنولوجيا رسم مستقبل العلاج الطبيعي؟

في إطار هذا التساؤل، انطلقت فعاليات اليوم العلمي الثاني لكلية العلاج الطبيعي بجامعة السلام تحت عنوان:

“Strategic Integration of Robotic Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy Education and Practice”

جاء اللقاء العلمي ليشكل مساحة للحوار حول مستقبل العلاج الطبيعي، وكيف يمكن للتقنيات الحديثة أن تصبح جزءًا أصيلًا من رحلة التعافي وإعادة بناء القدرة الحركية للإنسان، وذلك بمشاركة نخبة من عمداء ووكلاء وأعضاء هيئة التدريس من مختلف الجامعات.

وذلك تحت رعاية الأستاذ الدكتور/ عبدالفتاح صدقة – رئيس الجامعة،

والأستاذ الدكتور/ مختار مبروك – نائب رئيس الجامعة،

وبإشراف وتنفيذ كلٍ من الأستاذ الدكتور/ أحمد إبراهيم العريان – عميد كلية العلاج الطبيعي،

والأستاذ الدكتور/ السادات سعد – وكيل الكلية.

وخلال الفعاليات، تنوعت المناقشات العلمية لتسلط الضوء على محاور متقدمة في مجال التأهيل الروبوتي، من بينها دمج هذه التقنيات داخل الممارسة الإكلينيكية اليومية للعلاج الطبيعي، ودورها في دعم خطط العلاج الحديثة وتطوير نتائجها. كما تم التطرق إلى تطبيقات الذكاء الروبوتي في تأهيل الأطفال وحالات إعادة التأهيل العصبي، باعتبارها من المجالات التي تشهد تطورًا متسارعًا وتفتح آفاقًا جديدة للعلاج.

كما تناولت الجلسات العلمية مفهوم النهج الروبوتي كمسار متقدم يعزز من مفهوم المرونة العصبية، ويعيد تشكيل طريقة التعامل مع حالات التأهيل المعقدة، بما يواكب الاتجاهات العالمية الحديثة في المجال.

ولم يقتصر اليوم على الجانب النظري، بل امتد إلى التطبيق العملي من خلال عروض حية لأحدث تقنيات وأجهزة التأهيل الروبوتي، بالتعاون مع شركة BTL، حيث أتيحت الفرصة للحضور لمشاهدة التكنولوجيا وهي تُترجم إلى ممارسة علاجية واقعية داخل بيئة التأهيل.

واختُتم اليوم بحوار علمي ثري، عكس اهتمام كلية العلاج الطبيعي بجامعة السلام بفتح مساحات أوسع للتفكير في مستقبل المهنة، وتعزيز التكامل بين المعرفة الأكاديمية والتطبيق العملي، بما يواكب تطور قطاع الرعاية الصحية عالميًا.
