Alsalam University hosted a distinguished seminar titled “The Genius of Egyptian Civilization,” featuring renowned historian and international lecturer Bassam El Shammaa. The session offered an engaging exploration of the intellectual foundations of ancient Egyptian civilization.

and under the supervision of Prof. Dr Sherif Abo El Saadat, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, the seminar – organised in collaboration with the faculty – served as a platform for connecting historical knowledge with academic perspectives.

During the session, the speaker explained how the accumulation of knowledge over centuries contributed to shaping Egyptian civilization. He highlighted developments in architecture, science, and the arts while also addressing the human values reflected in its cultural legacy. He further presented an analytical perspective on ancient Egyptian thinking, showing how it influenced their achievements and emphasizing that these outcomes were the result of sustained knowledge and intellectual continuity.

The seminar provided students with an opportunity to broaden their understanding, connect academic concepts to a wider context, and strengthen their analytical thinking, particularly in creative fields.

The session witnessed notable engagement from attendees, contributing to a deeper awareness of Egyptian identity and positioning history as a relevant source of insight for the present.

في أجواء ثقافية ثرية، شهدت جامعة السلام فعاليات ندوة مميزة بعنوان “عبقرية الحضارة المصرية”.

والتي استضافت خلالها المؤرخ والمحاضر الدولي بسام الشماع، في لقاء حمل بين طياته رحلة معرفية عميقة داخل فكر الأجداد.

جاءت الندوة تحت رعاية كل من:

الأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد صقر -رئيس مجلس الأمناء-،

والأستاذ الدكتور/ طارق محمدي -نائب رئيس مجلس الأمناء-،

والأستاذ الدكتور/ عبدالفتاح صدقة -رئيس جامعة السلام-،

والأستاذ الدكتور/ مختار مبروك -نائب رئيس الجامعة وعميد كلية الصيدلة-،

وبإشراف الأستاذ الدكتور/ شريف أبو السعادات – عميد كلية الفنون التطبيقية،

حيث تحوّل اللقاء إلى مساحة ثرية للتأمل في عظمة الحضارة المصرية القديمة.

وخلال فعاليات الندوة، استعرض المحاضر كيف أسهم التراكم المعرفي عبر آلاف السنين في تشكيل ملامح الحضارة المصرية، مسلطًا الضوء على تطور العمارة والعلوم والفنون، إلى جانب القيم الإنسانية التي انعكست في إنتاجها الحضاري. كما قدّم قراءة تحليلية لمنهجية التفكير لدى المصري القديم، موضحًا كيف انعكست على إنجازاته، ومؤكدًا أن هذه الإنجازات لم تكن وليدة الصدفة، بل جاءت نتيجة علم وفكر متراكم امتد عبر العصور.

ومنحت الطلاب فرصة لتوسيع مداركهم النقدية، وربط ما يدرسونه بسياق حضاري أعمق، بما يدعم قدرتهم على التفكير التحليلي واستلهام أفكار قابلة للتطبيق في مجالاتهم المختلفة، خاصة في التخصصات الإبداعية.

وقد تفاعل الحضور مع الطرح الثري، في تجربة ثقافية عززت الوعي بجذور الهوية المصرية، وأعادت تقديم التاريخ كقوة إلهام حقيقية للمستقبل.

وتأتي هذه الفعالية في إطار حرص جامعة السلام على تقديم محتوى ثقافي نوعي يثري تجربة الطلاب، ويدعم تكوين رؤية معرفية متكاملة لديهم.
