The inauguration took place under the patronage of:

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Sadakah -President of the University-,

Prof. Dr. Mokhtar Mabrouk -Vice President of the University and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy-,

And under the supervision of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

The new lab is among the most advanced computer-based laboratories specializing in Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD). It is equipped with LigandScout, one of the world’s leading software tools for pharmacophore modeling and molecular docking, widely used in top-tier research centers to design new drugs through virtual screening and molecular interaction analysis.

What sets Alsalam University apart is its acquisition of an official research license for this program, enabling students and researchers to utilize it in their academic and research projects within the lab.

During hands-on training, students explored the process of building pharmacophore models and applying virtual screening techniques to identify biologically active compounds, enhancing their research capabilities and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world pharmaceutical applications.

The establishment of this laboratory marks a pioneering step toward realizing Alsalam University’s vision of preparing highly qualified pharmacy graduates who combine innovation, research competence, and practical expertise in modern drug development.

في إطار حرص جامعة السلام على دعم الأنشطة العلمية والبحثية، وتعزيز ارتباط الطلاب بأحدث التطورات العالمية في مجال اكتشاف وتصميم الأدوية،

افتتحت كلية الصيدلة معمل القولبة الجزيئية وتصميم الأدوية،

وذلك تحت رعاية:

السيد الأستاذ الدكتور/ عبد الفتاح صدقة -رئيس الجامعة-،

والسيد الأستاذ الدكتور/ مختار مبروك – نائب رئيس الجامعة وعميد كلية الصيدلة-،

وبإشراف قسم الكيمياء الصيدلية.

يُعد هذا المعمل من أحدث معامل الكمبيوتر المتخصصة في مجال التصميم الدوائي الحاسوبي (Computer-Aided Drug Design)،

حيث تم تزويده ببرنامج LigandScout العالمي، أحد أبرز البرامج البحثية في مجال النمذجة الدوائية والفارماكوفورية،

ويُستخدم في كبرى مراكز الأبحاث لتصميم أدوية جديدة عبر تقنيات الفحص الافتراضي (Virtual Screening) وتحليل التفاعلات الجزيئية.

كما تنفرد جامعة السلام بامتلاكها الترخيص البحثي الرسمي للبرنامج، مما يتيح للطلاب والباحثين استخدامه في مشاريعهم البحثية داخل المعمل.

خلال التدريب داخل المعمل، تعرّف الطلاب على كيفية بناء النماذج الفارماكوفورية (Pharmacophore Modeling) واستخدام تقنيات الفحص الافتراضي لتحديد المركبات النشطة بيولوجيًا،

بما يساهم في تنمية مهاراتهم البحثية وربط الجانب الأكاديمي بالتطبيق العملي الحديث في تصميم الأدوية.

يمثل افتتاح هذا المعمل خطوة رائدة نحو تحقيق رؤية جامعة السلام في تخريج كوادر صيدلانية مؤهلة تمتلك مهارات الابتكار والبحث العلمي في مجال صناعة الدواء الحديثة.
