Prof. Dr. Sherif Abu El-Saadat -Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts-, delivered a detailed presentation on the Department of Interior Design and Furniture, highlighting the academic and practical aspects of study at the faculty. He emphasized that the Faculty of Applied Arts seeks to prepare designers capable of innovation and interaction with the evolving needs of both local and international labor markets.

Dr. Abou El-Saadat elaborated on the department’s fields of specialization, which include interior architecture, interior design, and furniture design, applied across a wide range of sectors such as residential, commercial, administrative, touristic, and healthcare spaces. He further noted that a successful interior designer must possess a comprehensive vision that combines principles of urban and architectural design to achieve harmony between aesthetics and functionality within interior spaces.

During the meeting, a selection of students’ projects was showcased, reflecting their creativity and ability to simulate real-world designs using modern digital technologies.

The event concluded with a set of advisory remarks by the Dean, who encouraged students to uphold high academic and artistic standards and to make the most of their university years in building a promising professional future in the fields of design and innovation.

تحت رعاية الأستاذ الدكتور/ عبد الفتاح صدقة -رئيس الجامعة-، نظّمت كلية الفنون التطبيقية اللقاء التعريفي الثالث لطلابها الجدد، بهدف التعريف بـقسم التصميم الداخلي والأثاث، في أجواء مليئة الحماس والإبداع.

قدّم الأستاذ الدكتور/ شريف أبو السعادات -عميد كلية الفنون التطبيقية-، شرحًا تفصيليًا حول قسم التصميم الداخلي والأثاث، حيث تناول طبيعة الدراسة الأكاديمية والعملية في الكلية، موضحًا أن كلية الفنون التطبيقية تسعى إلى إعداد مصممين قادرين على الابتكار والتفاعل مع احتياجات سوق العمل المحلي والدولي.

وتناول عميد الكلية بالشرح طبيعة الدراسة في قسم التصميم الداخلي والأثاث، مشيرًا إلى مجالاته المتعددة التي تشمل العمارة الداخلية، التصميم الداخلي، وتصميم الأثاث بمختلف تطبيقاته في القطاعات السكنية والتجارية والإدارية والسياحية والعلاجية، مؤكدًا أن المصمم الداخلي الناجح يجب أن يمتلك رؤية شاملة تجمع بين مبادئ التصميم العمراني والتصميم الحضري وتخطيط المواقع، لتحقيق التوازن بين الجمال والوظيفة داخل الفراغات الداخلية.

وخلال اللقاء، تم عرض نماذج من مشاريع طلاب القسم التي عكست مهاراتهم الإبداعية وقدرتهم على استخدام التقنيات الرقمية الحديثة في محاكاة التصميم الواقعي.

واختُتم اللقاء بتوجيهات من عميد الكلية، دعا فيها الطلاب إلى الالتزام بالأداء الأكاديمي والفني المتميّز، واستثمار سنوات الدراسة في بناء مستقبل مهني واعد في مجالات التصميم والإبداع.
