Job Description

  • Implementing library management strategies, procedures, and approved regulations to meet the needs of students and faculty members.
  • Operating automated systems in the library or information center administration and doing what is necessary to ensure their maintenance and development.
  • Guiding and directing visitors to meet their research needs through training programs and information awareness programs, in addition to providing various library services, such as internal access and external borrowing, while registering and following up on borrowed books.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to understand the library’s needs and ensure the availability of
    appropriate resources.
  • Digital preservation of all forms of information sources, with management and archiving of data in a dual manner that includes paper and electronic media.
  • Following up on technological developments in the field of libraries and applying them to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, with the participation of educational circles in developing the rules and foundations for the
    development and circulation of collections and ensuring copyrights and printing.
  • Carrying out a monthly and annual inventory of the library to ensure the integrity of the library’s custody
  • Updating the library’s website, developing databases, the virtual library, its services, and information sources, and performing technical operations therein. Processing information sources through the standards for automated indexing MARC-RDA.
  • Participation in the technical inspection of library imports.
  • Follow up on the application of late fines for students through the accounts department.
