Job Description

  • Prepares Labs Annual Requirement Plan (for Current and New Labs), including infrastructure, equipment, material, and safety equipment, according to the curriculums, and the estimate no. of students, and follow up its implementation.
  • Coordinates equipment moves within/between labs, removal, storage, reuse, and recycling of equipment and consumables on a regular basis.
  • Participates in the inspection and receiving processes for equipment and materials.
  • Reviews equipment assessments and supervises equipment calibration and maintenance plan, and its implementation.
  • Reviews safety documentation for hazardous procedures, and provides training and safety instructions to new users of laboratory.
  • Assures operating procedures, and laboratory rules are implemented.
  • Maintains and approves security clearance.
  • Support research and the development of laboratory facilities by recommending equipment specification, liaison with, and obtaining quotes from suppliers.
  • Assure proper cleaning procedures are applied after every lab session.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. in science biology, chemistry, physics biochemistry or other health and science fields.
  •  Previous university experience is preferred
  • Proven experience as a lab manager for more than 5 years.
  • Excellent managerial skills.
  • Very good at English language
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Expert knowledge of laboratory health and safety protocols.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Promptitude
