“Quality Assurance and Compliance: Mastering Program and Course Specifications”

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Hossam Abdelaty – Learning QA Center Maneger at the University and Professor of Oral and Dental Medicine – and aimed to empower academic leaders and faculty members to prepare precise and comprehensive specifications for academic programs and courses. This ensures the delivery of integrated education and supports continuous improvement in academic performance.

The lecture focused on clarifying the pivotal role that program and course specifications play in building the institutional accreditation framework and quality reviews, and how these specifications serve as the foundation for ensuring consistency among program goals, learning outcomes, and assessment standards. The session also included an analysis of current specifications to identify strengths and gaps, in preparation for developing more accurate and effective documentation.

Through this lecture, participants acquired the ability to design program specifications that clearly highlight graduate attributes, curriculum mapping, and admission and graduation requirements. Furthermore, they learned to develop course specifications that include essential elements such as prerequisites, learning resources, and a clear and transparent assessment system.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of using these specifications as living documents that contribute to monitoring course effectiveness and guiding future development plans, thereby enhancing the sustainability of quality in the educational process and embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the University.

في إطار حرص جامعة السلام على ترسيخ ثقافة الجودة الأكاديمية والارتقاء بالبرامج التعليمية بما يواكب متطلبات الاعتماد المؤسسي، نظمت كلية العلاج الطبيعي محاضرة بعنوان:

“ضمان الجودة والامتثال: إتقان مواصفات البرنامج والمقرر الدراسي”، قدمها الدكتور/ حسام عبدالعاطي -مدير مركز ضمان جودة التعليم بالجامعة وأستاذ طب الفم والأسنان-، حيث هدفت إلى تمكين القادة الأكاديميين وأعضاء هيئة التدريس من إعداد مواصفات دقيقة وشاملة للبرامج والمقررات الدراسية، بما يضمن تقديمًا تعليميًا متكاملًا و دعم التحسين المستمر في الأداء الأكاديمي.

حيث ركزت المحاضرة على توضيح الدور المحوري الذي تلعبه مواصفات البرامج والمقررات الدراسية في بناء منظومة الأعتماد المؤسسي ومراجعات الجودة، وكيف تُعد هذه المواصفات أساسًا لضمان الاتساق بين أهداف البرامج ومخرجات التعلم ومعايير التقييم. كما تناول اللقاء تحليل المواصفات الحالية لتحديد نقاط القوة والفجوات، تمهيدًا لتطوير وثائق أكثر دقة وفاعلية.

و اكتسب المشاركون من خلال هذه المحاضرة القدرة على تصميم مواصفات برامج تُبرز بوضوح سمات الخريج، وخريطة المنهج، ومتطلبات القبول والتخرج، إلى جانب تطوير مواصفات مقررات تتضمن العناصر الأساسية مثل المتطلبات المسبقة، ومصادر التعلم، ونظام تقييم واضح وشفاف.

كما تم التأكيد على أهمية استخدام هذه المواصفات كوثائق حية تُسهم في متابعة فعالية المقررات وتوجيه خطط التطوير المستقبلية، بما يعزز استدامة الجودة في العملية التعليمية ويُرسخ ثقافة التحسين المستمر داخل الجامعة.
